Bana, learned Counsel for the State of Haryana.
2. It is submitted that in compliance of the orders of this Court dated 1st February, 2000 elections of Panches, Sarpanches and Members of Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads in the State as well as elections to the Members of Municipal Councils/Commit-tees and Municipal Corporation, Faridabad have already been held. It is submitted that elections to Municipal Councils of Bhiwani and Kaithal could not be held on account of large scale irregu-larities which were found in the electoral rolls. A request is made for modification of the order of the Court dated 1st Febru-ary, 2000 by extending time granted to the State of Haryana and State Election Commission to hold the elections to Municipal Councils of Bhiwani and Kaithal and complete the process before the end of July, 2000.
3. For the reasons stated in the applications, we grant the prayer. Time shall stand extended till 31.7.2000 and our order dated 1st February, 2000 shall stand modified to that extent, insofar as elections to the Municipal Councils of Bhiwani and Kaithal only are concerned.
