Restoration of writ petition – Writ petitions challenging the constitutional validity of some of the provisions of Urban Land Ceiling Act wrongly tagged with certain appeals relating to Agriculture Land Ceiling Act – With the dismissal of appeals the writ petitions also dismissed – Application of the appellants to be considered independently on its own merits.

O R D E R
1. The point in these Civil Appeals are covered by the judgment of this Court STATE OF GUJARAT AND OTHERS V. PARSHOTTAMDOS RAMDAS PATEL AND OTHERS* AIR 1988 SC 220. In the circumstances and for the same reasons as given in the said judgment of this Court, these appeals are dismissed. There will, however, be no order as to Costs.
2. It is stated by Mr. Lalit that the appellants had also filed writ Petition challenging the constitutional validity of some of the provisions of the Urban Land Ceiling Act. The said Writ Petitions were wrongly tagged with certain appeals relating to the Agriculture Land Ceiling Act, with the dismissal of the appeals the said Writ Petitions were also dismissed. An application for restoration of the Writ Petitions has been made by the appellants. The application will be considered and disposed of independently on its own merits without taking into consideration the dismissal of the said appeal.
