O R D E R
1. We are informed by the learned counsel for the petitioners that a sum about Rs.65 lakhs has been paid by the petitioners towards the arrears of electricity charges calculated in accordance with the Orissa Tariff Rates. Shri Kapil Sibbal, learned counsel appearing for the respondents pointed out that even so a further sum about Rs.75 lakhs remains to be paid by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner state that he will be in a position to clear all the arrears very shortly provided the electricity connection is restored to the factory and the factory is entitled to function. This is a matter which the Electricity Board may consider sympathetically. We, accordingly direct that the petitioner may move the Electricity Board with the request for restoration of the electricity on furnishing satisfactory assurance to the Board regarding the expeditious clearance of the arrears of the electricity charges at the Orissa Tariff Rates.
