Any person entering into service under the Government is entitled to the benefit of the Scheme – Judgment of High Court set aside.
1. Special leave granted.
2. From the Group Insurance scheme we find that any person entering into service under the Government is entitled to the benefit of the Scheme. In our opinion, therefore, on the death of his son Dinesh, the appellant No.1 was entitled to the benefit of Group Insurance Scheme. We set aside the judgment of the High Court and direct the respondent to make payment of the amount to which the appellants are found to be entitled within six weeks from today. The appeal is allowed accordingly. No costs.
Appeal allowed.
