Delhi Administration to issue a Notification under Section 11 of the Commissions of Enquiry Act, 1952 applying all the provisions of the Act except Section 6A to the Committee appointed by the Order dated 23rd February, 1988 – President of India has made an order requesting the two Judges of the High Court to function as member of the Committee.
COMMISSIONS OF ENQUIRY ACT, 1952:
Sections 6A and 11 – Delhi Administration to issue a Notification under Section 11 of the Commissions of Enquiry Act, 1952 applying all the provisions of the Act except Section 6A to the Committee appointed by the Order dated 23rd February, 1988.
1. Shri Kuldeep Singh, learned Additional Solicitor General, states that the Delhi Administration will issue a Notification under Section 11 of the Commissions of Enquiry Act 1952 (Act 60 of 1952) applying all the provisions of the Act except section 6A thereof to the Committee appointed by the Order dated 23rd February 1988 appointing Justice N.N. Goswami and Justice D.P. Wadhwa, Judges of the Delhi High Court members of the Committee to enquire into the matters set out therein. He also submits that the President of India has made an order requesting the learned judges referred to above to function as the members of the aforesaid Committee. Shri Soli Sorabji, learned counsel for the petitioners is satisfied with the submissions made on behalf of the Government and he says that in view of the foregoing the petition may be disposed of. We accordingly dispose of the writ petition.
2. There shall be no order on Civil Miscellaneous Petition No. 7551/88.
