Regularisation of casual workers – Appellants to be appointed afresh as casual workers until regular appointments are made in accordance with the rules to fill the said posts.
1. Special leave granted. We have heard the appeal. Appellants 1,2,5 and 6 shall be employed as casual workers by the Zila Parishad, Hazaribagh provided they report for duty within two weeks before the Secretary of the Zila Parishad and they shall be appointed afresh as casual workers until regular appointments are made in accordance with the rules to fill the said posts. As regards appellants 3 and 4 it is stated that their services have been repatriated to the District Nazerath from where they had been deputed to the Zila Parishad. In the circumstances no relief can be granted in their favour in the case. If the appellants 3 and 4 are not given work by the District Nazerath they may approach the High Court.
2. The appeal is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
