Their reversion was caused on account of implementation of Court’s direction in CHANDER PRASAD SINGH & ORS. VS. STATE OF U.P. (Civil Appeal No. 8820/83) decided on 19th April, 1985. We are told that 1300 supernumerary posts of Head Constables have been created in the State of U.P. vide Government Order dated 21st January, 1988, in order to most this situation. Counsel for the State of U.P. has agreed that the claim of the petitioners for adjustment against such posts shall be considered separately and attempts would be made to absorb as many of them as possible in terms of the order creating the posts. In view of this position, no further directions are necessary in the writ petitions excepting calling upon the State of U.P. to comply with what has been stated before us by their counsel. This order shall be given effect to within four months hence. No costs.
