Postings to North Eastern Region – Employees of State Bank of India – Payment of allowances as per circulars – If allowances are not paid, the petitioners to approach the appropriate authority in that Region for relief.
JUDGEMENT:
O R D E R
1. Mr. G.L.Sanghi learned Counsel for the State Bank of India states that every employee of the State Bank of India posted in the North Eastern region will ordinarily be posted to a place outside that Region after completion of 8 years of Service and in Special Circumstances they may transfer an officer earlier or later. The place to which such employee will be transferred will be settled at the discretion of the Bank.
2. Sri P.P.Rao says that some of the petitioners of State Bank of India who are posted in the North Eastern Region have not been paid certain allowances which are payable to them in accordance with the circulars issued by S.B.I. from time to time. Sri G.L.Sanghi states that all are being paid in accordance with the circulars. We do not express any opinion on this point. If any of the petitioners is not paid any allowance due to him he is at liberty to approach the appropriate authority in the North Eastern Region for relief.
